In celebration of 50 years of Hip Hop, one of Georgia's top ranked universities, (top 5) hosted an insightful Hip Hop Celebration with Saxton Moore, Lindsay Schwartz, Jerry Clark, Cherise Pugh, Chris Henderson, Mo Ivory, and moderator Julie Smith. The university promised students a high powered panel of executives and the event was led by Kennesaw State University's Radow College of Humanities under the leadership of Dean Catherine Kaukinen. The speakers of the day reported being positively thrilled with the warm reception that they received under the Associate Dean of Student Success and Inclusive Engagement, H.T. Michael Chen leading speaker engagement for the pro series at Radow College. A packed house of students received solid steps to take in supporting their career's immediate plans, heard how GRAMMY Award winners on stage like Chris Henderson leveraged their time in college to get a head start on their music career and how panelists like Cherise Pugh who had spent the most years on backstage saw hip hop as an opportunity for students to bring their highest creative selves to fruition in service to a greater good as so many Hip Hop pioneers did at it's onset and as legends like Ms. Lauryn Hill continue to do.
